Hon’ble Education Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Madan Dilawar, presenting a cheque of ₹1 lakh to a student as part of the “Shiksha Sanjeevani Insurance Scheme,” ensuring continued education support through accidental insurance coverage. The School Education Department of the Government of Rajasthan, in collaboration with the SME Insurance Promotion Council—an initiative of the SME Chamber of India—alongside Zurich Kotak Insurance and Torque Insurance Brokers, has successfully launched “Shiksha Sanjeevani”, a socially transformative insurance program dedicated to safeguarding the educational future of students enrolled in Government schools (from 1st to 12th standard) across Rajasthan. This pioneering initiative offers accidental insurance coverage of ₹1 lakh to the earning parents of these students. In the unfortunate event of the demise of an earning parent, the insured amount ensures that the child’s education continues uninterrupted, providing financial security and emotional support during a critical time.
The Shiksha Sanjeevani Yojana was formally inaugurated on 25th February 2025 in Udaipur by the Hon’ble Education Minister Shri Madan Dilawar Ji. Under this scheme, 170,000 children studying in government schools across Udaipur and Kota district have been successfully covered under accidental insurance facilitated by SME Insurance Promotion Council, Zurich, and Kotak Insurance.
The insurance premium for this impactful initiative has been generously sponsored by Wonder Cement through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund, reflecting a strong commitment to community welfare and educational empowerment.
In a deeply saddening incident, Shri Gaurishankar, father of Devram, a Class 3 student at Government Primary School, Mission Basti, Udaipur, tragically lost his life due to electric shock. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family. On 8th October 2025 under the Shiksha Sanjeevani Yojana, we provided the insurance claim amount to the child to ensure that his education continues without disruption.
