India’s G 20 Presidency is a special responsibility – External Affairs Minister

India is now a solution provider – Dr. S Jaishankar

Minister for External Affairs Dr. S Jaishankar today said that India’s G 20 Presidency comes as a special responsibility at a challenging time for the world. He further said that India is now a solution provider for contemporary and emerging global problems.

Addressing G 20 Festival of Thinkers Summit under India’s G 20 Presidency at Symbiosis International (Deemed University) Campus, Lavale, Pune he said “ we have a strong resolve today to stand up to defend our national interest while having the independence to becoming the voice of Global South”.

Emphasizing on the changing world perspective regarding India, he said that we are a civilisational state leading resurgence to an era in which diversity is respected. A nation, whose energy, enthusiasm and creativity is rising and one whose future the world has a great interest.

Speaking about G 20 presidency Dr. Jaishankar said, G 20 is the most important International platform. What India could do, will do in this one year and it will make a significant difference in world politics.

Dr. S. B. Mujumdar Founder and President, Symbiosis and Chancellor Symbiosis International (Deemed University) presided over the function. Students from various disciplines including foreign courtiers were present and they interacted with the minister.
